TasBGAS has been working alongside host employers in the building and construction industry in Tasmania for more than 36 years. We are confident that in delivering the following benefits, we can provide an effective partnership with your business.
Making life easier: We recruit, advertise, conduct preliminary interviews, screen all applicants, organise work experience and conduct any necessary pre-testing to your requirements, so you get the right person for the job.
Say goodbye to paperwork: We look after all the necessary paperwork and government forms, from the training contract to management of all the tax, superannuation and WorkCover.
Ongoing support and mentoring: Your dedicated TasBGAS Field Officer will have regular contact with you and the apprentice or trainee, including face to face visits. This ensures their training progresses well and that any issues are resolved, including performance management.
Paying the wages: We pay wages, ensure the awards and entitlements are correct and you receive just the one simple weekly invoice.
Flexibility for your business: Things can change in business – work can drop off or increase. We’re flexible so you can either put on more staff or in a downturn simply hand back your apprentice or trainee to us with seven days notice.
Safety First: We ensure that every TasBGAS apprentice and trainee receives full safety inductions and understands their responsibilities to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
