Building Futures Pre- Apprenticeship Project Pilot

This project is structured to provide students the opportunity to experience multiple trades within the Building & Construction industry over a course of the school year.  These experiences and knowledge gained will assist students to make a career choice that is right for them within the industry as well as developing their work readiness skills.

Aims of the Project

*To provide a new entry level pathway into an apprenticeship/traineeship within the Building & Construction industry.

*Provide an opportunity for students considering a career in the Building & construction industry to experience multiple trades which will assist them in making an informed career choice.

*Students who have a goal to enter into an apprenticeship/traineeship are well informed of the tasks, training requirements and employer expectations in their career of choice.

*Students gain the knowledge of the Industry work expectations in regard to work readiness including language, literacy, and numeracy levels, WHS knowledge, and practical skills.
