This project is structured to provide students the opportunity to complete a School Based traineeship within the Building & Construction industry. The experiences and knowledge gained will assist students in gaining a thorough understanding of the industry, develop their work readiness skills for the trade and to ultimately achieve an apprenticeship.
School Based traineeship:
Students will complete the traineeship in a Certificate II in Construction (CPC20120) covering 15 units of study over a 2 year period.
All units completed are nationally recognised training and will provide credit for them into a Certificate III apprenticeship : For example Carpentry

Aims of the Project:
To provide a pathway into an apprenticeship/traineeship within the Building & Construction industry.
Provide an opportunity for students considering a career in the Building & construction industry to experience the trade which will assist them in making an informed career choice.
Students who have a goal to enter into an apprenticeship/traineeship are well informed of the tasks, training requirements and employer expectations in their career of choice.
Students gain the knowledge of the Industry work expectations in regard to work readiness including language, literacy, and numeracy levels, WHS knowledge, and practical skills.
